Kristen Stewart doubts future in MCU

In recent years, more big-name actors have been joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving relative unknowns and rising stars in the dust. From Harrison Ford to Oscar Isaac and Aubrey Plaza, it seems like everyone is getting a shot at being a superhero—except Kristen Stewart, that is. In a recent guest appearance on the “Not Skinny but Not Fat” podcast, Stewart expressed her disinterest in being part of the MCU, calling the experience a “nightmare”. Despite her previous experience in blockbuster franchises like Twilight and Snow White & the Huntsman, Stewart believes that the MCU movies lack creative freedom and feel formulaic.

Stewart’s main concern is that these movies are designed by committee and don’t allow for personal, creative input from the director or actors. She believes that in order for her to consider joining the MCU, the system would have to change to allow for more artistic expression. However, she did mention that she would make an exception for director Greta Gerwig, known for her work on films like Barbie and Little Women. If Gerwig approached her with a role, Stewart would be more open to the idea of joining the Marvel universe.

This raises the question: which Marvel character would Stewart be a good fit for, and who in the MCU would Gerwig best be suited to direct? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
