Kia’s EV9 stands out due to its unique Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, which allows appliances and power cables to be plugged into the vehicle’s charging port. A recent campaign by the company featured a 5-meter LED disc powered by the EV9 in Norway, where the installation successfully mimicked sunlight in a dark area, highlighting the vehicle’s impressive power capabilities.
The Head of Marketing, David Hilbert, expressed his excitement about the EV9 stating that it’s not only exciting when moving, but also when stationary, due to its bidirectional charging. This innovative technology expands the role electric vehicles play in our lives, providing power for camping, mobile offices, and even contributing to the broader electricity grid with Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology.
The light installation took place at Rampton, a campground near Oslo, where the temporary sun illuminated the picturesque beach. The EV9 was able to drive from Oslo to Rampton, power the light for twenty-four hours, and return to Oslo without range anxiety. Additionally, the EV9 boasts SUV strength, advanced electric vehicle styling, and a range of over 563 km, making it a top contender in the SUV category.
