Mayer Brown Welcomes Jennifer Zepralka as Partner in Public Companies & Corporate Governance Practice
Washington, D.C., April 8, 2024 – Mayer Brown is excited to announce that Jennifer Zepralka has joined the firm as a partner in the Public Companies & Corporate Governance practice. With a strong background in regulatory matters from her time at the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance, Jennifer brings valuable insights to the firm’s clients.
During her tenure at the SEC, Jennifer served as the Chief of the Office of Small Business Policy, where she provided oversight for capital-raising exemptions from registration and other federal securities laws affecting small businesses. Her contributions were instrumental in various SEC rulemaking activities, including the implementation of pay versus performance disclosure rules and amendments to the exempt offering framework.
Jennifer’s experience extends beyond her time at the SEC, having previously worked in private practice on issues related to capital raising, public reporting, and governance matters for both public and private companies. Her diverse background positions her well to navigate the evolving legal and regulatory landscape faced by public companies today.
“We are thrilled to have Jennifer join our team,” said Jon Van Gorp, Chair of Mayer Brown. “Her background at the SEC and in private practice equips her with the expertise needed to guide our clients through complex regulatory challenges.”
