ISM® Expanding Services in Mexico & LatAm

Institute for Supply Management (ISM) is expanding its offerings in Mexico and Latin America to meet the needs of the growing supply chain management community. This expansion will include supply chain skill-building courses, ISM certification preparation programs, and executive-level events conducted in English and Spanish. ISM’s presence in Mexico and other Latin American cities builds upon its existing distribution and community in the region.

The importance of supply chains in Latin America is undeniable, and ISM’s gold standard certification, CPSM, has a global footprint. The programs in Mexico will be delivered in partnership with Supplynity, an organization that hosts the CPO LATAM Conference to bring together the executive procurement community in the region.

Tom Derry, CEO of ISM, emphasized the critical role of the Mexico and Latin American markets in supply chains and highlighted the regional need that ISM can address through this collaboration with Supplynity. Skill-building courses will kick off in September 2024, covering topics like negotiation and financial analysis. Certification-oriented courses will begin in January 2025 in Mexico City, with an exclusive executive conference scheduled for November 2024.

Gabriel Rosales, Founder of Supplynity, expressed excitement about the partnership with ISM and the opportunity to share procurement best practices and training with buyers in Latin America. This collaboration aims to advance the supply chain management profession in the region significantly.

ISM, as the leading not-for-profit professional supply management organization globally, aims to drive value and competitive advantage for its members through certification and training programs, corporate services, events, and the ISM Supply Chain Capability Model. ISM’s Report on Business is a highly-regarded economic indicator providing guidance to supply management professionals and government and business leaders.

Supplynity, the largest community of buyers in Latin America, focuses on distributing information, fostering training and collaboration, and facilitating the adoption of best procurement practices. The organization collaborates with major procurement associations in various Latin American countries and hosts CPOLATAM events with high-level executives from multinational and Latin American companies.
