Inclusive Children’s Book Launches on Disability Independence Day & Partners with Champ’s Heart

Paper Seed Press has teamed up with Champ’s Heart, a non-profit organization that provides equestrian experiences to children and veterans, to create an inspiring children’s book titled “What Can Carter Do?” Written by Jeana Atkison and illustrated by Elia Valasquez Murray, the book tells the story of a boy named Carter who faces challenges after losing part of his leg and must learn to adapt with a prosthetic.

The heartwarming tale highlights the themes of perseverance, kindness, and the power of community as Carter works hard to run and jump again with the help of new friends. A portion of the proceeds from each purchase of “What Can Carter Do?” will be donated to Champ’s Heart, supporting their mission of providing hope and healing through horse riding experiences.

Larry Cudmore, the founder of Champ’s Heart, expressed gratitude for Paper Seed Press’s dedication to giving back and creating joyous experiences for children. Jeana Atkison, author and owner of Paper Seed Press, emphasized the importance of inspiring young readers through impactful storytelling and supporting causes that make a positive impact on the world.
