The Peking University team emerged as the champion of the 46th edition of the global finals by solving 10 out of 11 problems, while the team from the National Research University Higher School of Economics clinched the championship of the 47th edition by solving 9 out of 11 problems. The competition was a testament to the dedication and skill of the participants who showcased their mastery of algorithms to solve complex problems.

Huawei, a prominent player in the ICT industry, continued its support for the ICPC World Finals for the fourth consecutive year as a diamond sponsor. In addition to the main competition, Huawei organized the “Huawei-backed ICPC Challenge,” which provided students with an opportunity to tackle algorithmic problems derived from real industrial scenarios. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry applications, empowering students with the skills needed to drive technological progress and benefit humanity.

The partnership between Huawei and the ICPC Foundation has led to the creation of various events such as the ICPC Training Camps and ICPC Championship supported by Huawei. These collaborations demonstrate Huawei’s commitment to enhancing the skill levels and expanding the talent pool of the international coding community.

To further engage students and coding enthusiasts, Huawei will be hosting an online challenge starting on May 6. This two-week marathon challenge will provide participants with an opportunity to test their skills, learn from industry experts, and gain valuable experience in solving real-world problems.

The ICPC World Finals in Luxor not only highlighted the exceptional talents of the participants but also underscored the importance of collaboration between industry leaders like Huawei and the academic community. By investing in initiatives like the ICPC Challenge and supporting events like the World Finals, Huawei is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the coding community and driving technological innovation.
