EVE Energy has released its flagship Mr. on January 25, 2024, titled “Reliable Energy Storage with EVE Energy Large Capacity Batteries”. Introduced during an online conference, the new battery cell Mr. Big and Mr. System Giant are designed to meet the global demand for long-term energy storage in lithium batteries, supporting the goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
Mr. Big is capable of holding up to 628 Ah, utilizing third-generation high-speed stacking technology to achieve an energy efficiency of 96%. Mr. System Giant, on the other hand, is designed to deliver an energy capacity of 5 MWh within a standard 20-foot container (6.1m) with a high energy efficiency of 95%. According to EVE Energy’s Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Technical Director, Dr. Yuan Dingding, both new battery cells are built based on electrochemical principles and theories, utilizing features such as current collection, 3T technology, and 14μm separator to achieve minimal heat loss between charge and discharge cycles.
The company has emphasized the importance of battery energy efficiency and how its breakthrough in this area can significantly benefit customers. It is said that a 1% increase in the battery’s energy efficiency could result in a increase of 3.6 million yuan in the customer’s operating revenue over the battery’s life cycle. EVE Energy’s research and development team aims to achieve these goals with its innovative electrochemical current harvesting model and precise design.

Furthermore, the Mr. Big’s 3T technology has shown a significant reduction in temperature difference from 8 °C to 1.5 °C. Meanwhile, Mr. System Giant also achieves an energy efficiency of up to 95%, with temperature differences below 3°C and a maximum temperature reduced by 5°C. These advancements in lithium batteries enable optimized energy storage solutions, fully leveraging the potential of photovoltaic energy, ensuring stable electricity supplies, and contributing to the planet’s sustainability.
EVE Energy has focused on reducing the number of battery cells with its integrated solution, resulting in a 50% reduction in the number of cells at the system level. Process innovation has also been a key element in EVE Energy’s technological advancements, including the use of 14μm thickness separators that exceed industry standards and significantly enhance battery safety features.
Furthermore, EVE Energy has introduced a technology of specially coated separators to increase safety, effectively shutting down in case of overheating.
