Frank Grillo teases final Purge installment

Frank Grillo is excited about the final installment of ‘The Purge’ franchise, ‘The Purge 6,’ revealing that the script is finished and that it will focus on his character, Leo Barnes. Creator James DeMonaco will direct the movie, which will explore a divided America split into states based on ideology, sexuality, and religion.

Grillo expressed his enthusiasm for the script, calling it great and emphasizing that it will be the last film in the series. He hopes the studio will commit to the project and is eager to see how the story unfolds for his character, Leo Barnes.

The Purge franchise has been successful since its inception in 2013, with Grillo joining in 2014’s ‘The Purge: Anarchy’ and returning for ‘The Purge: Election Year’ in 2016. While the series has continued without him in subsequent films, bringing back Grillo for the final installment would be a wise decision.

‘The Purge 6’ will follow Leo Barnes as he navigates through a broken, ideologically divided America, according to DeMonaco’s vision for the film. The country will be split into states based on various beliefs, creating a unique and challenging landscape for the characters.

Aside from ‘The Purge 6,’ Grillo has other projects in the works, including the action film ‘Lights Out’ with Scott Adkins and a mysterious action movie described as “The Purge meets werewolves.” Additionally, he will join James Gunn’s DC Universe as Rick Flag Sr. in the animated series, ‘Creature Commandos.’

With the script completed and a promising vision for the film, fans of ‘The Purge’ franchise can look forward to the final installment bringing closure to the series. Grillo’s continued involvement and DeMonaco’s direction ensure that ‘The Purge 6’ will be a captivating and thought-provoking conclusion to the popular horror series.
