Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) and PDS Ventures have joined forces to launch the Trailblazer Programme, a new initiative designed to support early-stage innovators in the fashion industry. This collaborative effort aims to identify promising innovators and provide them with the necessary resources to scale and make a positive impact.
As part of the Trailblazer Programme, PDS Ventures will offer one innovator a significant investment of up to USD 200,000, along with commercial and operational support from PDS Group’s Positive Materials. This support includes collaboration with textile innovators, supply chain partners, and access to PDS Limited’s global supply chain.
The programme is currently accepting applications from solution providers addressing challenges in the fashion value chain. A panel of industry experts, including representatives from GFA, PDS Ventures, MIT, Ralph Lauren Corporation, Fashion For Good, and H&M Group, will review and select eight innovators to participate in the programme.
Participants will receive feedback and pitch training from industry experts and PDS representatives, with the winning Trailblazer being announced at the GFA’s Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2024 in May. All shortlisted innovators will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses at the Summit, connecting with key industry stakeholders and potential investors.
The Trailblazer Programme aligns with the theme of the Global Fashion Summit – ‘Unlocking The Next Level,’ as the industry marks 15 years since the inaugural Summit in 2009. This milestone provides a moment to reflect on the progress made in sustainability and look ahead to future actions needed to accelerate industry transformation.
Federica Marchionni, CEO of Global Fashion Agenda, emphasizes the importance of innovation and investment in transforming the fashion industry for the better. Pallak Seth, Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of PDS Limited, highlights the urgency of supporting climate-first innovators with mentorship and financial backing.
Early-stage innovators can apply for the Trailblazer Programme, with applications closing on March 31. For more information on how to apply, visit the Global Fashion Agenda website. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative initiative in the fashion industry.
