Tough-guy actor Danny Trejo found himself in a real-life scuffle during a July 4 parade after a spectator threw a water balloon at the procession. The incident occurred during the Sunland-Tujunga Independence Day Parade, where Trejo, 80, was a participant. The parade, themed “The Magic of Sunland-Tujunga,” took place along Foothill Boulevard, with Trejo reportedly leaving his vehicle to confront the person responsible for throwing the water balloon.

According to reports, Trejo was hit by a second water balloon, leading to a brief altercation where he threw punches and was knocked to the ground. While witnesses noted that Trejo was more about confronting than attacking, the situation escalated after he was hit.

Video footage of the incident showed Trejo being held back by parade-goers, but no arrests were made by the police. Trejo, best known for his role as Machete in the “Spy Kids” films and “Machete” series, is also a successful restaurateur with eight establishments to his name.

Having overcome a troubled youth marked by time spent in juvenile hall and prison, Trejo turned his life around to pursue a career in show business. Despite the incident, Trejo has not issued a statement regarding the altercation.
