CIBC Donates $10,000 to EmpowHERto for Minority Women in Tech

EmpowHERto, a non-profit organization in Toronto, Canada, recently received a generous donation of $10,000 from the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) to support their CodeHER program. This program, part of EmpowHERto’s initiatives, aims to empower young minority women with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the tech industry, providing them with essential skills for a successful future in technology.

The CodeHER program, in collaboration with partners Lynx and Python, provides girls with crucial skills that will set them up for success in the tech space and help unleash their limitless potential. The grant from CIBC will make the CodeHER program accessible to minority girls more than ever before, expanding EmpowHERto’s reach and impact.

Senior Director of Community Relationships at CIBC, Ronan Ryan, emphasized CIBC’s commitment to creating a world without limits to ambition and removing barriers that often stand in the way of success for underserved communities.
