CBS announced in November that the seventh season would be the show’s last, with a one-hour series finale scheduled to air on May 16. “As a prequel to one of the biggest comedies, ‘Young Sheldon’ proved that lightning can strike twice,” stated Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. In the upcoming season, viewers can expect to see the return of their favorite characters, including Iain Armitage as Sheldon Cooper, the once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science. His portrayal of the vulnerable, gifted, and somewhat naïve Sheldon has resonated with audiences, making him a standout in the cast.

Zoe Perry takes on the role of a younger Mary Cooper, a character that paves the way for her mother’s character in “The Big Bang Theory.” Meanwhile, Lance Barber plays the role of George Cooper, Sr., a struggling high school football coach and father to a boy he doesn’t fully comprehend. Annie Potts shines as Connie ‘Meemaw’ Tucker, Sheldon’s foul-mouthed Texas grandmother who is very supportive of her grandson and his unique gifts. Reagen Revord appears as Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s twin sister, and Montana Jordan portrays Georgie Cooper, Sheldon’s older brother.

Additionally, Emily Osment joins the cast as Mandy McAllister in Season 5. The seventh season is all set to premiere on Thursday, February 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show will be broadcast on CBS, with episodes also available for streaming on Paramount+. Subscribers can look forward to engaging and entertaining content as the series comes to its much-anticipated conclusion with its one-hour series finale scheduled for Thursday, May 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
