CCDL Partners with George Washington Univ.

The Center for Cyber Diplomacy and Leadership (CCDL) recently announced its strategic partnership with The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) in an effort to enhance global cybersecurity cooperation and leadership, particularly among African nations. The CCDL, formed in November 2023 and led by Executive Director Dr. Pape Cissé, aims to empower leaders with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to excel in cybersecurity and cyber diplomacy, fostering international cooperation and protecting national interests.

The newly established partnership with GWSB will leverage the institution’s academic excellence and resources to drive impactful cybersecurity initiatives, providing a platform for research, education, and policy advocacy. The target audience includes high-ranking African leaders such as Heads of African States, Ministers, Ambassadors, Senior Government Officials, Private Sector Executives, and more.

Ambassador Omar Arouna, Co-Founder and Board Chair of CCDL, emphasized the importance of the partnership in enhancing cyber diplomacy and leadership. Dr. Pape Cissé, Co-Founder and Executive Director of CCDL, shared the organization’s mission to foster a secure digital environment through collaboration, innovation, and education, addressing pressing challenges faced by nations worldwide.
