Jurupa Community Services District Honored on California Senate Floor for Wastewater Management Excellence
The Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) has been recognized for its outstanding service and leadership in wastewater management. Senator Richard J. Roth commended JCSD during a session at the California Senate, praising the District for being awarded the Wastewater Collection System of the Year for the state of California by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA).
Senator Roth highlighted JCSD’s dedication to operational excellence and stewardship, emphasizing their role in setting standards for wastewater management. The entire Senate chamber applauded JCSD for their contributions to the state and its residents.
Chris Berch, General Manager of JCSD, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated the District’s commitment to excellence in service for Eastvale and Jurupa Valley. JCSD’s award-winning Collections team, including Aaron Anderson, Juan Flores, and others, were commended for their efforts in protecting the community and the environment.
Assemblymembers Sabrina Cervantes and Bill Essayli also met with JCSD’s team to acknowledge their achievement in wastewater management.
Founded in 1956, JCSD is a public agency providing services to Jurupa Valley and Eastvale. With a focus on water, sewer, streetlights, and other community services, JCSD serves over 130,000 residents in a 40-square-mile area.
