CADCA Receives Prestigious Silver Award for Blue Ribbon Coalition Program
CADCA, a leading organization in substance misuse prevention, has been honored with the Power of Associations Silver Award by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for its Blue Ribbon Coalition initiative. The Blue Ribbon Coalition (BRC) program is a community credential recognizing coalitions that have made significant positive impacts in substance misuse prevention.
Established by CADCA’s Evaluation and Research division, the BRC program is nationally recognized by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, as well as state and local governments. It aims to sustain effective community coalitions, promote the use of best practices developed during the National Coalition Academy training, and address the broader issue of substance misuse in society.
The program not only benefits local coalitions but also contributes to the larger movement in substance misuse prevention. By ensuring the continuation of best practices, the BRC program plays a key role in national efforts to combat substance misuse.
Michelle Mason, President and CEO of ASAE, commended CADCA for its impactful work, stating, “Associations like CADCA play a crucial role in shaping industries and societies. Recognizing their efforts in effecting positive change is truly rewarding.”
Barrye L. Price, President and CEO of CADCA, expressed gratitude for the award, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to supporting community coalitions in creating healthier and safer environments. He reiterated the importance of locally-driven efforts in bringing about real change.
