BrightStar Care, a provider of in-home care, medical staffing and senior living solutions said it witnessed sizable growth this past year.

The franchise said it opened 30 new locations in 2025 while welcoming 20 new franchise owners. Additionally, the brand expanded into 21 new markets.

According to BrightStar Care, the momentum was driven by the strength of the company’s nurse-led care model and its differentiated structure of five revenue streams, which includes companion care, personal care, skilled care, staffing, and national accounts.

“Demand for home-based care continues to grow, and BrightStar Care is well-positioned to support franchise expansion,” said Pete First, chief development officer at BrightStar Care. “Our nurse-led model, diverse revenue streams, and ongoing investments in technology give entrepreneurs a strong foundation to build high-performing businesses. Looking ahead to 2026, our focus remains on expanding our footprint while helping franchise owners meet the evolving needs of families in their local communities.”

The company also notes that a new partnership with a middle-market private equity firm is providing the home-care brand with innovation, operational support, and long-term growth. This includes investments in technology, expanded clinical resources, and enhanced systems designed to strengthen franchise support and elevate the client experience.

Based in Gurnee, Illinois, BrightStar Care was founded in 2002. The company has more than 420 franchised locations nationwide. BrightStar Care’s franchise agencies employ more than 15,000 caregivers and 5,700 registered nurses who oversee the care and safety of each individual client, the company said.
