In tragic news out of Kissimmee, Florida, officials have confirmed the discovery of 13-year-old Madeline Soto’s body after she went missing earlier this week. The prime suspect in the case is her mother’s boyfriend, Stephan Sterns, who has been arrested on charges of sexual battery and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Madeline was last seen on Monday morning, when Sterns was supposed to drop her off at school but she never arrived. Video evidence led detectives to a wooded area where they found her body, and further investigation revealed disturbing images and videos on Sterns’ phone.
As of now, Sterns has not spoken to anyone about the case and remains in custody without bond. Madeline’s mother is not considered a suspect at this time. The Kissimmee Police Department is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
