Astronergy to supply TOPCon modules for UAE solar project

A delegation consisting of Masdar, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and India’s largest EPC company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) recently visited Astronergy’s global headquarters in Haining, Zhejiang Province, China. This visit was in relation to the collaboration on the 1,800 MW solar power project in Dubai, with Astronergy being awarded the supply contract for the DEWA VI project back in October 2023.

The project involves supplying 1,800 MW of ASTRO N5 type TOPCon photovoltaic modules for the sixth phase of the solar park Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This solar park, built by Masdar with significant investments, is a key part of the UAE’s 2050 energy strategy, with plans to increase the clean energy mix in Dubai to 24% by 2026.

Astronergy, as the sole module supplier for this phase of the project, is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the solar park. By utilizing advanced TOPCon technology, Astronergy aims to contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions while providing sustainable energy solutions for local communities.

Chuan Lu, the CEO of Astronergy, highlighted the company’s commitment to high manufacturing standards and continuous improvement of TOPCon technology to meet the strict requirements set by Masdar. The project is expected to connect to the grid in the second quarter of 2026, resulting in a significant reduction in carbon emissions.

Through the adoption of innovative technologies and a sustainable development strategy aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, Astronergy is positioning itself as a leader in the renewable energy sector. The company’s dedication to providing photovoltaic products for sustainable energy production is aligned with global efforts to combat climate change and promote clean energy solutions.
