Alif Semiconductor recently unveiled the Balletto™ family of wireless MCUs, featuring cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities. The Balletto MCU is the first BLE wireless microcontroller to come equipped with dedicated hardware for AI/ML workloads.
Designed for implementing advanced AI/ML functions like speech recognition, adaptive noise cancellation, and sensor fusion in space-constrained devices, the Balletto family offers exceptional performance in audio and sensor applications. The device is powered by an Arm Cortex-M55 core with Arm Helium™ M-profile vector extension, delivering a significant 500% improvement in DSP performance.
The Balletto MCU also includes an Arm Ethos™-U55 Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of up to 46 GOPS performance. With an ultra-low power consumption design powered by aiPMTM technology, the Balletto MCU supports concurrent Bluetooth LE 5.3 and Thread operations, making it ideal for home automation and Matter protocol-supporting systems.
In addition to its advanced AI/ML capabilities, the Balletto MCU features a dual-PA architecture for optimized power consumption, multi-layered security features, digital interfaces, high-precision ADCs, and high-speed MRAM.
