Hounds Town USA names new chief franchise officer

As franchisors fight to see who can take the biggest bite out of the $100 billion-a-year pet care industry, one brand has recruited a leader with a track record they can bark about.

Hounds Town USA today announced that Courtney Allison is joining their team as chief franchise officer and integrator. In her new role, Courtney will take lead on supporting Hounds Town franchisees while fostering a culture of consistency, quality, and communication across the brand’s expansive network of doggy day care locations.

Throughout her career, Allison has served as an operations and franchising leader at a variety of recognizable brands, from Mrs. Fields to Sola Salons, Hydrate IV Bar, and Spavia.

“Franchising has been at the heart of my career, and I’m thrilled to join Hounds Town in this new chapter,” said Allison. “I look forward to connecting with our franchise owners, learning about their businesses, and helping them grow while ensuring pets are happy, healthy, and loved.”

Allison joins Hounds Town at a time when the pet care industry is growing rapidly and demand for dog daycare and boarding services are specifically continuing to rise. The company believes she has the right voice and skillset to unite franchisees and continue building Hounds Town USA into a leading name in the industry.

“Courtney brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to franchising that aligns perfectly with where we’re headed as a brand,” said Rob Flanagan, CEO of Hounds Town USA. “Her ability to connect people, systems, and unit economics will strengthen communication across our Towns, deepen our partnerships with Townies, and ensure we continue building Hounds Town the right way.”

Hounds Town USA was founded on Long Island in 2000 by Michael S. Gould, a retired NYPD and Nassau County Police canine handler who recognized the need for affordable, high-quality, trustworthy pet care services in his area. By 2004, Gould had added a second location, and in 2012, Hounds Town opened their third location and sold their first franchise.

Over the last decade-plus, the brand has continued to grow steadily. They first expanded outside of New York State with New Jersey locations in 2018. Since then, they’ve opened more than 50 locations, reaching their milestone 100th location earlier in 2026.
