WellBiz Brands franchise agreements surge in Q1

Transom Capital completes acquisition of beauty and wellness franchisor.

 

WellBiz Brands, the franchisor of beauty and wellness brands, reported that it closed the first quarter of 2026 with a strong infusion of new franchise agreements.

Altogether, WellBiz Brands signed more than 50 new franchise agreements with new and existing franchisees. The moves include agreements for 26 transfers, 17 new franchise agreements, and 13 renewals.

The WellBiz Brands portfolio includes Drybar, Elements Massage, Fitness Together, Amazing Lash Studio, and Radiant Waxing. 

Based in Denver, Colorado, WellBiz Brands also announced that its acquisition by Transom Capital Group has been completed. Transom is a Los Angeles-based private equity firm with experience investing in multi-brand platforms. The transaction is expected to accelerate growth across Well Brands’ portfolio.

The financial details of the acquisition, which was announced in January, were not disclosed. WellBiz Brands was previously owned by KSL Capital Partners.

During the first quarter, WellBiz Brands entered and expanded within key markets including San Diego, Seattle, Florida, New Jersey, and Minnesota. Recent growth brings the company to more than 750 total locations worldwide.

Earlier this month, WellBiz Brands named Michelle DeVore as its new chief marketing officer. In her role, DeVore will oversee brand marketing across the WellBiz Brands portfolio. This includes creative, data-driven marketing strategies to deepen guest relationships and accelerate portfolio-wide growth.

For franchisees, the company offers a cross-brand digital marketing program that it says drives effective member acquisition strategies. It also provides its WellBizONE system: a proprietary technology platform, enhances studio operations for franchisees, fueling member engagement and retention.
