2024 Dealer of the Year: TIME and Ally Financial

Rita Case, president, CEO, and dealer principal at Rick Case Honda in Davie, Florida secured the impressive TIME Dealer of the Year Award in 2024. This incredible accomplishment was announced at the 107th National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show, and officially recognized her for her outstanding business acumen and unwavering commitment to benefit the community. Since its inception 55 years ago, The TIME Dealer of the Year honor is viewed as one of the most prestigious recognitions in the automotive industry, highlighting those that have made significant contributions to their industry.

Case was handpicked to receive the esteemed award for her exemplary achievements within the auto industry and her unwavering dedication to make a meaningful difference in her community. The Rick Case Auto Group, for which Case serves as the CEO, is recognized as the largest woman-owned-and-operated dealership group in the country. Over the years, she has pioneered innovative sales strategies and initiatives. She also played a pivotal role in founding the Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show, which has successfully raised funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County since 1990. Additionally, she has an impressive charitable track record, collecting bicycles every holiday season for children in need for the past 41 years and is the founding sponsor for 77 Habitat for Humanity homes in South Florida.

This award ceremony was a special one honoring 49 nominees, alongside the announcement of Case as the ultimate winner. She was chosen from an impressive field of over 16,000 franchised dealers across the country, showcasing the caliber of her esteemed role within the industry. Touching on the significance of the recognition, CEO of TIME, Jessica Sibley mentioned that “At TIME, we are proud to uphold the decades-long tradition of honoring automotive dealers who make a positive impact and show dedication to their communities through our TIME Dealer of the Year award. As part of the program, Case and the finalists, Lehman Franklin, Thomas Murphy, Brian O’Meara, and Daniel Wilson, have all been selected to receive a grant to a charity of their choice, with Case receiving an impressive amount of $10,000 for her cause.

This accolade is truly well-deserved for an individual who has continually demonstrated exceptional prowess within the automotive industry. The prestigious panel from the Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michigan, select the finalists, and ultimately, a national winner from those finalists. Given the enormous breadth of dealers within the competition, to be the chosen recipient demonstrates Case’s exceptional standing within the industry.
