Located in the Dick Taylor Plaza, the store will host a festive event during Small Business Saturday with confectionery goodies, American Express Shop Small swag, and more.

Sweet Candy Café has become a beloved spot to visit in the heart of downtown. Owner Felicia Evans Long expressed her gratitude for the ongoing support from the community, online shoppers, and interstate travelers. One of the exciting projects for 2024 includes having their confectionary products in big box retail stores and the return of the Candy Kids Wear Blazers program. This program, aimed at shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs, was paused during the pandemic.

In addition to the anniversary celebration, Sweet Candy Café is also gearing up for their annual holiday toy donation to help a family in need and their annual donation of essentials to the local Lumberton hospital pediatrics unit for babies in the hospital over the holidays.

During the anniversary event, in-store and online shopping will be available. A portion of the sales will go towards the Timothy Rodney Long Memorial Scholarship, an annual scholarship awarded to a deserving student from the late co-owner’s hometown of Newark, New Jersey.

Felicia Evans Long is a well-qualified entrepreneur and community leader. She holds a BA in Sociology from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina and earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
