Ocala, FL, January 24, 2024 — Rebecca L. Feliciano of Ocala, Florida has been recognized as the Woman of the Month for January 2024 by P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) for her exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the healthcare industry.
Rebecca L. Feliciano is a nurse with the Veteran Health Administration and has amassed an impressive 40 years of experience in the field. Her roles include serving as both a charge and staff nurse, specializing in behavioral healthcare and psychiatric nursing.
From an early age, Feliciano was immersed in the healthcare industry – both of her parents were nurses, and she began working as a nursing assistant in a nursing home at the age of 16. Her passion for caring for others and helping people in their most vulnerable times led her to pursue a career in nursing. Feliciano earned an A.D.N. from the St. Elizabeths Hospital School of Nursing and a B.S.N. from Wilmington University. In addition, she holds multiple certifications in areas such as Med/Surg, Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy, and Gerontology, and is currently working towards obtaining her certification in Equine Therapy.
Beyond her career in nursing, Feliciano is also a proud Army veteran, having served during the Iraqi Freedom conflict. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and caring for horses.
