PayRange Sues CSC ServiceWorks for Patent Infringement

PayRange, a leading developer of mobile payment solutions for automated retail, has recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit against CSC ServiceWorks, the largest operator of laundry machines in the US. PayRange is seeking damages exceeding $108 million and a permanent injunction against further infringement.

Founded in 2013, PayRange has revolutionized the industry with its mobile payment system for vending, laundry, and amusement machines. With a robust portfolio of 42 patents and numerous pending applications, PayRange alleges infringement of three patents in this lawsuit, building on a previous case filed in March 2023.

Having recently settled a separate patent infringement case for over $62 million, PayRange is dedicated to protecting its intellectual property. CEO Paresh Patel stated, “We’ve invested significantly in research and development to bring innovative solutions to market. CSC’s infringement cannot go unchecked.”

Legal counsel Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has filed allegations seeking monetary damages totaling over $108 million, along with an injunction to halt further installations of infringing technology. In addition, PayRange aims to have the infringing apps removed from app stores.

With headquarters in Silicon Valley and a strong intellectual property practice, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is among the top law firms in the US. As for PayRange, the company was founded by industry veteran Paresh Patel to offer secure mobile payment solutions for unattended retail, serving over 7 million users across North America.
