Navajo Power joins second Apple Impact Accelerator class

Flagstaff, Arizona – Navajo Power, a leading Native-owned Public Benefit Corporation specializing in utility-scale clean energy projects on tribal lands, is excited to announce its selection to participate in Apple’s Impact Accelerator class for 2022. This prestigious three-month program offers customized training, access to Apple mentors and experts, and the tools necessary to succeed as an Apple supplier while aligning business priorities with environmental goals.

Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, emphasized the importance of collaborative solutions and community empowerment in the fight against climate change. She expressed Apple’s excitement for the innovators in the Impact Accelerator program and their dedication to environmental progress and equity.

Brett Isaac, co-CEO of Navajo Power, also expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, recognizing the potential for this experience to advance their vision of bringing clean energy to tribal communities. As a Public Benefit Corporation, Navajo Power reinvests 80% of profits into new projects or economic benefits for the community, demonstrating their commitment to environmental and social impact.

The program seeks to overcome systemic barriers to opportunity and address the realities of climate change for the most impacted communities.
