Elbit Systems Ltd. has won a contract worth $37 million to provide Iron Fist Active Protection Systems (APS) to General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) for upgrades to the U.S. Army’s Bradley M2A4E1 Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs). The contract, which will be carried out over the next 24 months, will enhance the self-defense capabilities of these armored platforms against various modern battlefield threats.
The Iron Fist APS, based on Israel Defense Force’s Second-Generation APS, offers 360-degree protection from Anti-Tank Rockets (ATR), Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM), UAS, and other threats in both open terrain and urban environments.
