Annual Awards Gala at The Mansion at Oyster Bay hosted by P.O.W.E.R.

The Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized (P.O.W.E.R.) recently held their Awards Gala at the Mansion at Oyster Bay in Woodbury, New York on October 19. The event brought together P.O.W.E.R. members from across the country to celebrate exceptional female leaders and professionals, as well as to honor one man for his role in empowering women.

This year’s honorees included Harris Faulkner, who received the Woman of the Year award, and Christie Brinkley, who was presented with the Icon Award. In a departure from tradition, Dr. David Pincus was named Man of the Year, while Patricia L. Blake received the Hope & Inspiration Award, and Deborah Adler was recognized with the Top Mom Award. Theresa (Terry) Prag was also honored with the Angel Award, Captain Sandy Yawn received the Glass Ceiling Award, and Dr. Kelly Mattone was presented with the Inside/Out Beauty Award. Other honorees included Rainere Martin, Dr. Rajasree Roy, Dottie Herman, and Gerri Willis, who were recognized with the Music Legacy Award, Power Top Doctor Award, Top Real Estate Mogul Award, and Pink Ribbon Award, respectively.

“The evening was a huge success,” said P.O.W.E.R. Founder Tonia DeCosimo. “It was so wonderful to see members and guests travel from near and far to celebrate these extraordinary honorees and make new friends and business connections.”

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a portion of the proceeds from the event were donated to the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition (BBCC), a nonprofit organization that provides support services for individuals and families affected by breast and gynecological cancers.

The event also featured special entertainment from Al Magliano, DJ; DJ Louie; Rainere Martin, Singer; Russell, Hollywood Events; Sal Valentinetti, Singer and Slava Fadeyev, Ballet. Additionally, event sponsors and donors were acknowledged for their contributions in making the gala a success.

P.O.W.E.R. extends its gratitude to all those who donated and contributed to the evening, along with acknowledging the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition for their ongoing efforts and support.
